Barbican Performing Arts Centre is situated in London. In fact, it is the largest performing arts center in the whole of Europe. Barbican is managed and funded by the City of London Corporation. The Barbican was opened in 1982 by Queen Elizabeth II.

Barbican comprises of a hall, theatre, the Pit, art gallery, trade exhibition halls and conference halls. It also has 3 cinema screens and restaurants. There is a library on the 2nd floor of the Barbican Centre and this library is considered to be one of the largest public libraries in London.
The center is known for hosting various musical concerts, both classical and contemporary. Apart from that, Barbican holds film screening, theatre performances, visual arts, dance, and much more. Barbican even conducts a creative learning programme for spreading awareness amongst the new audience about arts.
