Travel to London from Brentwood Accommodation High Street Places to eat Places to see The train station in Brentwood is located just about 5-10 mins walk from the high street/city center. It’s a small station with just a single convenience store. From what I have seen, the ticketing window closes in the evening. So if you are a tourist and unfamilar with how to automatic ticketing kiosks work, buy the ticket in advance.

Even if the ticket counter is closed, not to worry. There are a couple of kiosks on the station. Some of the common tickets e.g. ticket to London etc. are shown right on the first-page menu. Just click that and select whether you need a single ticket or return and proceed to pay by cash or card.

There are about 5/6 platforms only and generally, the door from the platform to the taxi stand is open without having to come via a ticket barrier. There is this small shop on the station where you can buy small things/sandwiches, drinks etc. Typically I have observed that the trains to London come on the platform right next to that shop i.e. platform no. 1.

If you look on the train map, Brentwood station is on the London to Chelmsford line. Stratford, Ilford stations are towards London.
